Overview:

The Project Manager’s role works within the digital team and support an array of project across the business. This role has a heavy focus on the planning and rollout of Future Media Group’s multiple product development projects. The role includes regular day-to-day communication with Operations, Development, Sales, Finance and other groups within the company to ensure projects are hitting their due dates and training is occurring. This is an integral position within a fast-paced business. Job Overview

The Web Development Assistant is responsible for assisting with the design, functionality, management, accessibility, navigation, search engine relevance, and overall usability of FMG’s web properties and web applications. This role represents significant opportunity for learning and growth since it involves direct and daily collaboration with FMG’s team of web content specialists, software developers, ad tech engineers and external vendors. This position may require some day-to-day interaction with other members of the FMG team, in order to provide basic IT assistance and coordination with our managed IT services company as needed.

Future Media Group continues to develop proprietary, best-in-class web applications and content/data analytics solutions (such as FMG’s Wyatt ERP solution) that ensure the organization can efficiently produce relevant, sought-after content for distribution across all of its digital platforms. The Web Development Assistant will have the opportunity to participate in the design, management and development of FMG’s web tech, ensuring that the position will provide challenging and rewarding learning opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

While the following responsibilities exist for the Web Development Assistant, it is important to note they will be guided and supported by more senior team members who will responsible for mentoring and training the WDA as needed.

  • Meet with non-technical team members to develop strategies and help translate their functional/business requirements into web-based solutions that support the overall mission and vision for FMG’s digital properties.
  • Act as a liaison for New York-based team members and FMG’s remote team in Florida to ensure accurate communication of project requirements and tasks.

  • Monitor and analyze web-related statistics: identify trends in the nature, frequency, and types of services requested, and use this data to continually improve content and quality of services.
  • Provide assistance implement appropriate security measures to safeguard data and restrict access appropriately.

Job Overview

The Vice President of Audience Development will play a key leadership role within FMG’s digital team developing and executing a strategy for audience growth across FMG’s digital properties. They will manage, grow and lead the audience development team while also building relationships with distribution partners, and working with FMG’s digital editors to ensure we're writing about the right things and developing strategies to grow our loyal and engaged audiences and brand. Monitor audience growth strategies across the digital publishing industry and ensure FMG is executing on best-in-class tactics.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analytics: Oversee analytics (GA, Parse.ly, native social analytics, etc.) with a focus on audience data and dynamics across brands to inform editorial strategy, and work with editors to implement said strategies. Identify KPIs across growth channels. 
  • Content Strategy: Work in partnership with editors-in-chief of W Magazine, SURFACE and Watch Journal to drive brand and user growth.

The Ad Ops Strategist’s role is crucial to ensuring the success of digital campaign delivery and performance. The role includes regular day-to-day communication with Sales, Product and Revenue Operations to ensure assigned campaigns obtain optimum performance as well as exceed client expectations.

FMG is seeking an engaged Corporate Controller to oversee the Corporate Accounting and Reporting team and to lead a service-oriented department to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial statements are presented to management; all financial and cash forecasts are maintained and include considerations of all relevant operational information; annual audit and tax filings are completed on time; and the team is managed and organized to execute in a growing fast-paced environment. This person will oversee other accounting staff and provide guidance, and will report directly to the CFO. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

The Social Media Manager of Surface Media, reporting to the Director of Audience Development, is a key member of the Audience Development team. This role is responsible for posting content to Surface’s various social platforms, collaborating with content around editorial planning and content production, with an overall focus on growth and engagement. This person knows how to engage an audience, has an eye for powerful visuals, and understands how data informs a smart social strategy, distilling numbers into actionable insights and advocating for nothing-but-the-best social content across the organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize traffic, engagement, and growth potential across all platforms, particularly on Instagram 
  • Manage an active social media posting calendar
  • Work with content, sales, events and creative departments to ensure that social strategy is baked into every part of the editorial process, and secure exclusive content for social channels including behind-the-scenes photos, videos, on-site coverage from live events, and tentpole activations
  • Collaborate with cross-departmentally on all aspects of content creation for platforms managed, from art (working with internal design teams) to copy to community management

The Vice President of Marketing of Surface Media reporting to the CEO/President and a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the company, will be responsible for all marketing functions. Surface Media is looking for an associate web producer with 2-3 years of CMS experience and a passion for design and art journalism to assist in original content creation and content programming and management across the company’s digital vertical initiative. Surface Media is seeking an Account Manager to join our team. Surface Media is the American authority on global design and values teamwork, positivity, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Surface Account Manager will report to the Executive Director of Sales/Director of Brand Partnerships  and will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of ongoing client management that drive business for Surface Media. Position Overview


As a member of the Communications and Marketing team, the Distribution and Subscription Manager is responsible for proposing and closing deals with approved brand partners to increase magazine distribution in target markets as well as for creating and implementing successful marketing strategies to increase subscribers for all print and digital Surface Media platforms including Surface magazine, Watch Journal, e-newsletters, and other offers.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Distribution

  • Work closely with partnerships team on agreements with hospitality brands to grow in-room distribution of Surface magazine and ensure execution

  • Work closely with operations team to manage all distributors and to identify and add new distribution partners regularly

  • Track distribution closely and ensure that all marketing materials have most up-to-date information

  • Organize shipment of all extra issue requests as well as track and ensure fulfillment of paid issue orders

  • Assist in market research to inform growth strategy for Surface distribution nationwide and beyond and execute based on plans


Subscription

  • Manage, execute, and analyze all aspects of circulation including new subscriptions, renewals, complimentary subscriptions, and free-to-paid conversion programs

  • Develop and execute VIP subscribers program outlining benefits and ensuring delivery

  • Manage, maintain, and communicate all circulation data as needed including a weekly report on subscriptions

  • Actively monitor retention rates and identify and execute best practices for retention

  • Maintain in-house mailing lists and coordinate with printers as needed ensuring proper data is prepared and sent on schedule
